The Virtual Interview is a beneficial tool for both the employer and the applicant.
It allows the employer to ask applicants in-depth, job-specific questions at the very beginning of the hiring process. These questions act as a pre-screening tool to weed out unqualified applicants before they are considered for an in-person interview.
From the applicant perspective, the Virtual Interview is an opportunity to shine as a potential employee. Applicants can share their personal experiences, highlight important aspects of their job history and demonstrate why they would be the perfect fit for the open position.
Within the Applicant File, you can view the results of the Virtual Interview questions for the applicant. The overall score displays next to the Virtual Interview link in the Applicant File area.
Note: The Virtual Interview section is only included in an Applicant File if it was included in your job posting.
- Click Virtual Interview to review the results.
- The results display the questions that were included in your posting, the answer given by the candidate, and the “Manager Score” assigned to the question by you or another user. If the interview has not been scored, the scores will be blank.
- To score the Virtual Interview, select a score for each question and click Add Manager Score at the bottom. The system will calculate the percentage total for the applicant based on your selections. By scoring the Virtual Interview, you will update the Total Score for the applicant.
Note: If the Virtual Interview has already been scored, you can change any of the scores and click “Add Manager Score” to update the percentage total. - You can add or review notes associated with Virtual Interview results by clicking Notes at the top.
