We are always seeking to improve our application.  Based on your feedback, we are happy to note the following enhancements to the system that are included in our August 2011 Release.

Applicant Electronic Signature

  • An electronic signature has been added to the Submit Page of the job application.  This signature element also appears on the applicant file print-out.  System Users may now obtain a complete and electronically-signed job application from the applicant file.

Applicant Withdrawal

  • Job applicants can now click a ‘withdrawal’ link in each system-generated email they receive.  By doing so, the applicant will withdraw themselves from consideration for the open position.  When an applicant withdraws his/her application, the hiring manager will receive an email notification of that action – and the applicant’s file will be highlighted accordingly.

Group Processing

  • Hiring Managers may now put multiple job applicants on HOLD and may also send a group email by using the new Group Select feature on the Applicant Queue page.

Improved Notifications/Reminders to Users

  • We’ve increased your options of how and when the system communicates with Hiring Managers including new applicant communications, new company dialog entries, and in-bound reference verifications.  Also, hiring managers can now receive an email reminder on the day of an interview.  This reminder informs the hiring manager that he/she has one or more interviews scheduled for that given day.
  • Users can turn these notifications on or off, as desired, through the Notifications link in the system.

Company Description

  • This new section of the job application has been added above the job description block on the job posting.  The purpose of the Company Description is to provide the job applicant with a comprehensive description of the company to which he/she is applying in addition to the job description.

Disposition Code

  • This new feature provides a finite number of reasons for which a hiring manager may reject a given applicant.  Upon clicking the REJECT button, the system will offer a list of disposition codes (non-selection reasons).  The manager simply selects one that befits the rejection action.  The selected code will then appear in the applicant’s file.
  • The System Administrator must activate this feature and input all disposition codes.
  • NOTE:  This is for subscription users only.

Easier login for Hiring Managers

  • For hiring managers’ convenience, a new Hiring Center login link now appears in the upper right corner of the job-listing page.  We’ve also added a simple way to bookmark the login page to their favorites/bookmarks.  A new ‘Bookmark This Location’ link now appears on the bottom of the login page.

Location Search in Library

  • The LIBRARY now offers a better way to search for a location and/or position throughout the entire library.  New ‘Search’ fields appear at the top of the page – and a +/- ‘expandable’ search capability has been put in place.

Position Search in Home Page

  • On the HOME page, you will now find a new Position Search field.  Simply enter the name of the position (or any part of the name) to quickly find a given position.

Adding Documents to Applicant File

  • Hiring Managers may now add documents to an applicant’s file by clicking ‘ADD’ to Company Dialog and uploading a document via the Browse field.

Previous Applicant Entry

  • The hiring manager may now quickly access information relative to a job applicant who previously applied to any job within the company.  By clicking VIEW next to Previous Applicant in the applicant’s file, entries for each previous job application appear at the bottom of the applicant’s file.  These entries include the position, date of application, and disposition reason (if applicable).  With one click of the entry, the hiring manager may access the original job application.

Assessment Tools

  • The following third-party applicant assessment tools have been added to the Assessment Section of the Applicant’s file.  Hyrell is not providing the actual services outlined below, but we have pre-integrated best of breed third party solutions for your convenience.
  • Personality Test and Other Skills Testing – You may now test applicants in a number of ways.  From basic skills tests to full personality testing, one click of a button from the new testing menu will initiate the test.  Results will be delivered to the applicant’s file within minutes of the applicant’s completion of the test.  Hiring Managers pay on a per-assessment basis for this feature and the prices for each assessment are indicated in the system.
  • Background Checks – You may now obtain background checks faster and seamlessly through the system.  To get this feature turned on, you will need to sign up with our third party provider and determine what checks your company desires to run.  If you have any questions on how to do this, please let us know.   NOTE:  This is for subscription users only and requires a separate agreement with the third party provider.
  • Employment Verification – The I-9 EVerify process is now fully automated – and free.  Hiring officials may now collect, report, and receive verifications within a few clicks.  To get this feature turned on, you will need to sign up with our third party provider.  If you have any questions on how to do this, please let us know.   NOTE:  This is for subscription users only and requires a separate agreement with the third party provider.
  • Tax Credit – Employers may now initiate a check to determine if a new employee qualifies for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit program.  Employers may realize significant tax credits for hiring individuals who qualify for this special program.  To get this feature turned on, you will need to sign up with our third party provider.  If you have any questions on how to do this, please let us know.   NOTE:  This is for subscription users only and requires a separate agreement with the third party provider.
