JOB DESCRIPTION

Employee will "Delight Shoppers" by providing excellent customer service in keeping with our Motto, Mission Statement, Stauffers Standard, and Core Values. And they will develop strong business relationships by interacting with others in a manner that creates a pleasant and professional working environment.

Position will work 2-3 evening shifts per week, from 4:00 to 9:00pm. Will also include one or both weekend days.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons and crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received. Promptly clears floor of all restocking equipment and debris.
Operates price scale with knowledge of current prices. Prices or changes price tags on merchandise referring to price list and in coordination with scan department.
Packages merchandise according to departmental guidelines
Rotates product according to departmental guidelines.
Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise in cases, on counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales.
Takes inventory or examines merchandise on a regular basis, to identify items needing to be reordered or replenished.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic math skills, such as adding/subtracting multiple digit numbers, units of weight, and/or U.S. currency
Excellent customer service focus
Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices
Will work 2-3 evening shifts per week starting at 4pm, plus weekends.
Able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and regularly lift up to 30 pounds, and frequently lift up to 60 pounds.
