JOB DESCRIPTION

The Director of Marketing should be passionate, creative, customer-centric, outside-the-box thinker who is motivated to work with a world-class team in a thriving, energetic, and positive environment.  This person is motivated by the challenge of creating direct meaningful impact through fitness in our New York City area while driving more traffic to our services.  The Director is driven to enhance brand identity, improve overall marketing collateral, and to increase gross sales.  This person should thrive in a flexible, creative, learning culture, and be motivated by growth potential.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, develop, and measure the success of comprehensive marketing campaigns by developing plans that articulate integrated strategies, including all objectives, audience, key message, recommended touch points, metrics, and all call to action details.
  • Ensures the highest level of member retention and program value through management of member loyalty program.
  • Management and drive of website. Includes updates, changes, content management system, and search engine optimization.
  • Manage internal marketing campaigns, to include monthly e-newsletters, holiday contest, and special contest. This is to ensure client retention, enhance customer and member value and satisfaction, and enhance client referral program.
  • Manage social media campaigns to include YOUTUBE, Twitter, and Facebook.
  • Overseeing and making recommendations for developing timely, cost-effective and production of all print sales/,marketing initiatives including Welcome folder, marketing collateral, flyers, letters, and advertising.
  • Responsible for overseeing and making recommendations to optimize customer and member acquisition and customer engagement.
  • Maintains a schedule of campaigns and appropriate themes to ultimately drive new sales and build a strong community of members.
  • Responsible for internal marketing of all profit centers.
  • Develops, designs, and creates new marketing campaigns and new sales programs.
  • Manages inventory of marketing materials and adheres to set budgets.
  • Works with outside vendors for production of marketing and sales materials.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor's degree in business is required, with an emphasis in Marketing recommended.
  • Minimum 2 years marketing experience, preferably in retail, sport, or fitness market.
  • Demonstrated track records of success in driving sales and utilizing marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional strategy development skills coupled with very strong execution and project management skills.
  • Experience with social media marketing, including YouTube creation, Facebook campaigns, and Twitter.
  • Great communication skills, with strengths in writing newsletters, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • To be an excellent team player.
  • To be a can do person who can operate in a fast moving environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of website infrastructure and content management.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics or other web analysis tools.
  • Understand SEO and implement strategies to boost website rankings.
  • Background or interest in sports, fitness, health, peak personal performance a plus.
