We are very excited to announce that we’ve added yet another member to Team Hyrell! Jeremy Geadrities may be the office “newbie,” but he joins Hyrell with many years of customer experience under his belt, along with the drive and passion to take on any new challenges that come his way.

“Company benefits” can mean different things to different companies. Most often we think in terms of traditional benefits (401k, health, and dental), but some organizations (i.e. big players like Google) build their entire corporate culture around providing exceptional benefits and work-life balance.

Now maybe you can’t afford 24/7 luxury amenities, but regardless of what benefits package is realistic for your organization, it’s important to list something in the benefits section of your job description.  This strategy can increase applicant flow, while helping you show off a little bit of your corporate culture.

To find the best employees you need to sift through a lot of applicants. While applicant tracking systems and hiring automation can help ease the pain of this process, one lingering problem remains: What do you do if you don’t have enough applicants? 

Assisting 4,500 plus franchisees in all of their hiring needs is a big task... but we love a challenge.

To help with this monumental task, Team Hyrell recently attended The UPS Store Convention (or as we like to call it our "Super Bowl" of trade shows), which is held once every two years, and allows us to spend valuable face time with hundreds of franchisees from across the country. This is by far one of our biggest events and it was well worth the time and travel to Dallas, TX, this year!

Businesses great and small all have one thing in common – everyone needs to interview candidates during the hiring process. Whether you’re a Mom and Pop shop on Main Street looking for your very first employee, or a large organization that hires hundreds of people a year, no one makes it through the front door without meeting face-to-face for a sit-down interview.

Since interviews are such an essential part of the hiring process, we asked a few of our team members to answer the question: “What’s the most important question to ask in an interview and why?” Here’s what they had to say:
